A: In general, the best time to enroll in a Medicare Supplement policy is when you are first eligible for Medicare Parts A and B, also known as Medicare Open Enrollment Period. This is the six-month period that starts on first day of the month that you are both 65 or older and enrolled in Medicare Part B. Throughout this period, you can enroll in any Medicare Supplement Policy offered in your state even if you have health problems.

A: All carriers are required to offer standardized policies which all offer the same basic benefits. Types of plans are typically identified by letters to be able to clearly compare. Policies will be the same, the difference between them is the cost to you.
